Kate joined Hancock, McGill & Bleau after ten years in the legal and title industry, with a focus on commercial and residential real estate transactions. She has experience as an escrow officer and attorney handling national real estate transactions, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, and underwriting and risk analysis relating to title insurance and real estate. She graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law, where she continued to work full-time as a paralegal and acted as a Case Note and Comment Editor for the International Law Review Association. She has also published multiple continuing legal education papers…for the love of the game. When not working, she spends her free time Olympic weightlifting or teaching her two dogs, Charlie and Nico, new tricks. The HMB team is grateful Kate offsets her discipline towards fitness with a love of baking.
